Family Support Worker

30 hours per week

£17,799 (£11.41ph)

We are seeking an experienced family support worker to work with mothers and their children who have experienced domestic abuse. You will provide a coordinated response to families supporting their emotional wellbeing and assisting them to develop meaningful relationships within the family unit and the wider community.

Key duties and responsibilities:

Provide a high-quality service and co-ordinated package of on-going emotional and practical support to CYP and their mothers experiencing trauma caused by domestic abuse and associated poverty.

Develop positive, trusting relationships with CYP of all ages and their mothers working in a child focussed way.

Work with children and young people to help them to become integrated into a new or existing community.  Liaise effectively and collaboratively with all appropriate agencies relating to CYP / family welfare.

Carry out assessments that effectively establish the support needs of CYP/ families using our services and deliver outcome focused support.

Ability to work as part of a team and on your own.

A full driving licence and access to transport

Please note only women need apply under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
