Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is responsible for governing of Moray Women’s Aid. Our Board are all volunteers who have a range of relevant skills, knowledge and experience.
There are currently 12 Board members who are committed to ensuring that MWA continues to provide support for women and their children who have experienced, or who are at risk of, domestic abuse.
Board members have a responsibility to:
- Safeguard and promote the values and mission of MWA
- Determine the strategy and structure of MWA
- Ensure MWA operates effectively
- Ensure the effective functioning of the Board of Directors
We currently have around 17 permanent employees who provide emotional and practical support where it’s needed. We are all highly qualified and experienced in helping women recover from abusive relationships and to start new lives free from threat and fear.
